Creating The Brand
I was assigned to create a logo for WaveDirect, a marketing solutions company based out of Fort Myers, Florida. Previous to both their website re-design by The Creative Momentum and I, our company was hired to redesign their logo and propose a new design that was more stylish and contemporary. To the left are the variations of the logo designs that we presented. We went through 3 different meetings in which we presented the client different designs, fonts, and finally colors to choose. The client ultimately chose one of my logo designs that was incorporated to their final website, which was also designed by The Creative Momentum team and myself.
Establishing Brand Guidelines
In creating the logo and the website for WaveDirect, I created a booklet of brand guidelines for them using InDesign. These guidelines included establishing the approved use of their logo and emblems, color palette, font guides and font use, buttons, and illustration and photography styles. To the right are those same guidelines.
Designing Their Full Website
Below you will find the full website that I designed for WaveDirect. I was contracted to design a 6 page site for them to include a home page, solutions, about us, who we serve, contact page and privacy policy page. This was all designed over the course of a 6 to 8 week period and included stages of presenting a sitemap of the website, low-fidelity wireframes, and high-fidelity designs for desktop and mobile.
Once approval was given from the client in each stage, I moved on to the next stage of design until finally handing over a design to development document that included a detailed style guide and layouts for all pages. After each presentation to the client, if the client had revisions they wanted made, I would incorporate those edits quickly and pass documentation to the client of the new alternations so that we might seek final approvals. Overall, this was an extremely happy client that loved their site once the designs were completed and their site was launched. You can view the full live site by clicking the link below.
